2018 Sponsored Walk The Dog Aid Society's Annual Sponsored Walk
On Saturday 5th May, Helen and Clare (Dog Aid Society staff) completed the Society’s Annual Sponsored Walk. Kobi and Bella (Helen’s dogs) also joined them for the walk. Clare’s dog Morty unfortunately was out of action due to an unexpected Vet trip on the Friday evening.
The walk was originally planned to take place at St Mary’s Loch in Selkirk, however due to unforeseen circumstances they felt the walk wasn’t suitable to continue due to too many loose sheep and new born lambs running around. The thick fog also posed a safety risk as part of the walk was on country roads.
Helen and Clare made the decision to continue with the Sponsored Walk at another location which was Bowhill House and Country Estate. The scenery was beautiful and the dogs had an amazing time running around the lochs and through the woodland.
We have raised a massive £1165. Thank you so much to everyone who kindly sponsored the Staff and their dogs. This is an amazing amount and will help towards the Society’s Neutering Scheme. We hope you enjoy some of the pictures taken on the walk.
Help us rescue dogs that are in desperate need of a loving home.
