The Society staff and dogs, Jen and Bella embarked on the Sponsored Walk on Saturday 23rd May 2015. The walk was planned for Glentress, Peebles. Unbeknown to us, Glentress was hosting a huge downhill mountain bike event on the very same day! Luckily there is a lovely forest walk nearly at Walkerburn called Thornilee. The weather was fine and the walk was beautiful. We managed 6 and a half miles. There was even time to stop for a picnic lunch and the opportunity to take in the lovely views of the surrounding countryside. The dogs had a great time exploring and enjoying all the new scents.
The walk raised an amazing £1,503. This money will support the Society’s Neutering Scheme, helping to reduce the numbers of unwanted dogs around Scotland.
A huge thank you to all those who kindly supported us.
